The Chicago Headline Club believes that journalists should be recognized for their outstanding achievements. In an effort to support and motivate our members we strive to reward exceptional work with awards. It's our way of saying, your contribution to the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois and the greater journalist community is important.

Awards are also designed to improve the general public's appreciation of a person's full body of work. We hope awards bring positive attention to the necessary public service reporters provide to their communities.

GRANTS

The Chicago Headline Club is committed to improving the quality of journalism and in-depth reporting. Our grants are provided to individuals who demonstrate a dedication to journalism and to accurately communicating the events of our time.

We also offer aid to students who wish to pursue a career in journalism. The grants are open to print, broadcast and online reporters, freelancers, photographers, bloggers, editors and producers.
